I won! I won! I won! I won the competition! I don't have much time to blog right now because I'm at work, but I wanted to post that I won! (This is the only place I can show off, right?)

Finally! I have time to blog. Tonight is the last night of the dance competition and then I'll really have time to blog. I can't believe I made it all the way to the finals. And I really can't believe that I have an actual chance at winning this! It's just amazing. It's be so time consuming but so worth it. I had no idea that I'd fall in love with ballroom and latin dancing. Now I know why Nicole loves it so much!

Tonight we redo our first dance to "Candy Man" then we do a new Cha Cha to "Waiting For Tonight" and we do our Free Style to Madonna's "Four Minutes." I am so excited. The excitement makes up for the sore muscles and fatigue.

A bunch of people from work are coming out tonight to support me - including Ben. Nothing much has happened there. We hang out around the office some times but it hasn't evolved into anything. I'm still holding out hope. I just have this feeling that he and I would be so good together! Maybe my moves will impress him tonight.

Last night was amazing!!!! JD and I had the top score for our Fox Trot! We danced to "Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby." The choreography was awesome. I am so lucky to be paired with JD.

This weekend we're going out dancing a place that caters to ballroom and latin dancing. He wants me to get a feel for dancing the dances without choreography. It sounds a little scary but I'm sure it will be fun.

Chad was doing his own version of the Cha Cha this morning in front of my desk. Frankly, it looked nothing like the Cha Cha as I know it, but he said he learned from a dance teacher. And of course he sang along to his dancing. Chad the singing, cha cha'ing mortgage seller!

I'm going to the beach this afternoon with Molly. This is my one afternoon of the week that I have no rehearsals so I'm going to take advantage of it. We're going to drive down, get some seafood and then plop ourselves on the sand for a few hours. I can't wait!

I haven't had much time for blogging. I haven't had much time for anything. This dance competition is all consuming. I eat, sleep and breathe Ballroom and Latin. This week it's the Cha Cha. We're dancing to "Don't Cha." It took a lot of arm twisting to get JD to agree to it, but I held my ground. He didn't want to dance to the song because Mark and Sabrina danced to it on "Dancing With The Stars" and he was afraid we'd be compared to them. I'm not worried. It's a great song and he's choreographed a great dance.

Work has been slow, and that's been good for me. I need a few hours a day that aren't physically grueling. I had no idea training like this would be so hard. It's so demanding, but at the same time I can see muscles forming in places I didn't have them before. And I see fat melting away and things getting firmer and less flabby. I think I'll be wonder woman if I make it to the end of the competition! :)
