I thought today would be the day. I came into work thinking I'd have a little freedom and then I found a note from the boss asking me to do a bunch of filing. I spent the first two hours filing and cursing him under my breath. All of this work is getting in the way of me talking to my new crush.

Somehow, despite the filing, it worked out. Ben actually stopped by while I was filing and made a sympathetic remark about my crappy assignment. I told him I wished I were back in Florida. He agreed and said work has been hell since he got back. I was so happy that I actually got to talk to him.

A little while later I was back at my desk when Mel stopped by and invited me to lunch. A bunch of people are going out - including Ben. Yippie! This could be my lucky day after all!
