This weekend has had it's ups and it's downs. I'll start with the downs so that I can get them out of the way - plus, I'm hoping that writing them out will get the anger out of my system so that I can move on.
Patrick stayed over Friday night. The next morning we went downstairs and found everyone under the sun hanging out in the kitchen - including Jason. Patrick left to go see his parents and Jason and I got into a huge fight. He was upset because Patrick had stayed the night. Honestly, it was completely innocent. Patrick crashed at our house because we got home late and I didn't feel like driving him all the way to his parent's house in Pennsylvania. Nothing indecent happened (but I didn't tell Jason that - it's none of his business).
Anyway, Jason actually said to me, "I can't believe you're sleeping with Nicole's leftovers." I was livid. How dare he? What business of is it of his what I do and who I do it with? He's the one that kissed me! He's the one that turned around and got back together with his sleazy ex-girlfriend! I was so annoyed that I said, "Well, you're the one who keeps picking up the trash that Josh was smart enough to throw away!" We haven't spoken since.
Now for the good part of the weekend: Patrick. I think things worked out the way they were supposed to. Patrick is even more amazing than I remembered. I picked him up at the airport Friday afternoon. That night we went to my office happy hour. It was so much fun. Chad did karaoke for everyone and I got to prove to Patrick that Chad really does sing non-stop.
Ann and Mel were trying to smell Ben half the night. The second half of the night is when his girlfriend showed up and it seemed too weird to continue to try to smell him. I was laughing the whole time. It was very amusing. The second half of the night Ann and Mel sulked about how lucky Ben's girlfriend was. Patrick kept giving me looks that said: "I can't believe this is for real."
It was nice having Patrick there with me. I loved that I got to prove to him just how crazy my co-workers really are. Now he's witnessed it first hand so I don't seem as crazy when I tell him the stories.
He crashed at my place Friday night, and as I said it was very innocent. The long distance thing is kind of holding us back, but he did kiss me - and it was definitely worth the wait. :)
Yesterday Adam picked him up and took him back to Pennsylvania. I drove over there last night and we went out to dinner. Nicole was staying with her great aunt so I crashed there so I didn't have to drive all the way home. Nicole and I stayed there most of the day. We had lunch with Adam, Patrick and Josh (kind of a surprise since Josh originally wasn't too keen on hanging out with Patrick). I was really avoiding going home because I didn't want to run into Jason. I've really had it with him.
Well, this post is getting long and I have homework to do. I need to get it done because Patrick is coming over tomorrow night to take me out to dinner.
